I finally got my pressure cooker cookbook back. I made a mean swiss steak tonight. I even handled raw meat!!

I am trying to figure out an apple pie to make for B’s return tomorrow. I am having a hard time finding an easy recipe.This apple and pear tart looks to be the winner. I don’t know why I keep looking at the reviews they always throw me off and then make me change my mind.
I am sick. I have been since Sunday. I am supposed to fly out on Thursday. It figures work would get me sick right before I leave. I decided rather then take a chance that this would continue that I would take yesterday off and then I woke up this morning and my throat was on fire! There is no way I could talk all day without making it worse. Besides my flight everything is going to be so spur of the moment. I don’t have any plans solidified besides the family dinner etc. for the upcoming week. I just hope I kick this cold before I go.

I really enjoy this book I
am fascinated by the way that people take notes and record ideas. There are many awesome people included in this book such as David Byrne, Lynda Barry and John Copeland.
Sunday Sucks
I have had a awful Sunday morning, however B made up for it with taking me to ikea and getting me a desk and a proper chair! I am so excited. I can’t wait to rearrange everything in my studio and then make it all pretty.
Happy Belated Repeal Day!
Last night to celebrate we went to the always lovely Teardrop Lounge. They had a special menu to celebrate, it was fantastic. Then we went to Ten01 and had truffle fries. I think they may be my most favorite thing ever, well besides the bacon shallot tater tots. They make a fine cocktail as well.
Today I am working on secret xmas presents for the mom as well as trying to finish my languishing sewing projects. I did manage to mend my dress as well as a pair of shorts for B. Today I need to patch some pants and finish sewing my dress from class. I will post some photos eventually I promise!
I am a beautiful book week failure.
I will continue to post them as I can. It may just take forever.
It has been a month of constant house guests. It has been trying to say the least. I am getting ready to take a trip to California at the end of the month. I am excited but nervous. It is the first time that I am going back that my mom doesn’t live in the house we grew up in.
I am almost done with Christmas shopping. I just need a few things for the mister and a few things for some friends and I am done. I may just have to pick up some liquer that we can’t get here and bring it back with me. Due to the storm that has been happening here we have not gotten a xmas tree yet and I am feeling no motivation to put up the xmas decorations. I got about halfway through before giving up.
I did update my blogroll. I have come to the conclusion that I read far too many blogs.
